Garlands, Wreaths, and Posies
Door garlands and wreaths are freshly hand tied with our own foliage and holly, using a hand-made base. We try to adapt our designs to suit specific individual requirements and provide a choice of ribbon, design and colour while using as much natural material as possible. We have been helping people decorate their homes with garlands and trees for almost 20 years.
Modern door garlands are created on a moss covered straw base which is constructed entirely by hand. We then completely cover the front of the garland with fresh green holly. The next stage is to join pairs of pine cones to baubles and attach them to the garland. The finish stages include an attractive ribbon bow and attaching a hanger to the rear.
We create bases for our traditional door garland using the same methods as our modern garlands. We begin by tying an outer border of fresh holly and cover the inside of the base using contrasting conifer ‘fans’ which consist of green, blue, and yellow foliage. The decoration of the door garland consists of three sprigs of variegated holly (with berries) on an ivy backing, 2 pairs of small pine cones, and a trio of large pine cones on a fir tree backing. The garland is finished with a large ribbon bow and a hanger attached to the rear.
Grave wreaths are made in a similar manner to our traditional door garlands but on a slightly smaller base. We believe our design is subtle and understated making it an attractive tribute to honour the resting place of loved ones.
Our grave posies are especially suitable for cremation plots. We can adapt our designs so that they are made up in a plant pot or green saucer.
